WEEKLY SATURDAY NIGHT KHUTBAH
The Nejashi Community Center of Atlanta (NCCA) hosts a captivating weekly event, the Saturday Night Khutbah, that brings our community together for a spiritually enriching experience. Every Saturday, we have the privilege of gathering to deepen our understanding of the deen of Allah SWT under the guidance of our teacher, Brother Zaib. These gatherings serve as a beacon of knowledge, fostering an atmosphere of learning and reflection.
During the Saturday Night Khutbah, Brother Zaib imparts invaluable insights into the teachings of Islam, offering profound wisdom and practical guidance for our daily lives. The sessions are not only informative but also spiritually uplifting, creating a space where individuals can strengthen their faith, engage in thoughtful discussions, and connect with fellow community members.
This cherished event has become a cornerstone of our community’s spiritual growth, providing a platform for unity, faith development, and the nurturing of strong bonds among attendees. Whether you are seeking to deepen your knowledge of the deen or simply wish to connect with a supportive and like-minded community, the NCCA’s Saturday Night Khutbah is a welcoming and enriching experience you won’t want to miss. Join us as we come together to seek knowledge and draw closer to Allah SWT in the spirit of fellowship and faith.
WEEKEND ISLAMIC SCHOOL
The NCCA Weekend Islamic School is a nurturing and educational haven where we are committed to instilling a strong foundation in the Quran and Islamic studies within the hearts and minds of our youth. Every weekend, our dedicated instructors guide our students on a journey of spiritual and intellectual growth.
Through engaging lessons and interactive activities, our young learners delve into the teachings of the Quran, learning to recite its verses with proper Tajweed and gaining a profound understanding of its timeless wisdom. Additionally, our comprehensive Islamic studies curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the principles of Islamic ethics, and the significance of worship and prayer.
Our Weekend Islamic School is more than just a place of learning; it’s a vibrant community where young minds connect, share, and develop lifelong friendships. As we nurture the next generation of Muslims, we emphasize not only academic excellence but also the importance of character development and moral values, preparing our youth to be compassionate, responsible, and confident individuals who contribute positively to society.
Join us at the NCCA Weekend Islamic School, where knowledge, faith, and community intertwine to empower our youth with the tools they need to thrive in both this world and the hereafter.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
The NCCA’s commitment to community outreach is exemplified through its ongoing collaboration with ICNA (Islamic Community of North America) and HHRD (Helping Hands for Relief and Development). Throughout the year, our dedicated volunteers and members actively engage in humanitarian efforts to provide assistance to those in need.
One of our most impactful initiatives involves supporting ICNA’s food pantry, where we regularly contribute our time and resources to help alleviate hunger in our community. By volunteering and organizing food drives, we ensure that families facing food insecurity receive essential provisions and a sense of support during challenging times.
In partnership with HHRD, the NCCA extends its outreach efforts globally, reaching out to communities in need beyond our immediate vicinity. Together with HHRD, we participate in various relief and development projects, offering aid in disaster-stricken areas, providing clean water sources, and assisting in the education and healthcare of underserved populations worldwide.
These community outreach initiatives reflect the NCCA’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling our Islamic duty of helping those less fortunate, embodying the principles of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility. We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with ICNA and HHRD in our collective mission to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities both locally and globally.
YOUTH GROUP
The NCCA brothers and Girls Youth Group Program is a dynamic and transformative initiative that empowers the young members of our community to thrive, grow, and develop into responsible and confident individuals. These programs are designed to nurture not only their faith but also their personal and social development.
Within our Youth Group, participants engage in a wide range of activities that cater to their diverse interests and needs. From Quranic study circles and Islamic educational sessions to community service projects and recreational outings, our youth find a supportive and enriching environment to strengthen their faith and build meaningful connections with peers who share their values.
Furthermore, our program places a strong emphasis on character development, leadership skills, and civic engagement. We encourage our young members to take on leadership roles, organizing events, and initiatives that benefit the broader community. Through these experiences, they learn the value of responsibility, teamwork, and community service.
At NCCA, we believe that our youth are the future of our community, and we are committed to providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to become well-rounded and empowered individuals. Our Youth Group Program is a testament to this commitment, offering a safe and nurturing space for our youth to grow spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Join us as we inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
RAMADAN & EID CELEBRATION
Ramadan and Eid celebrations at NCCA are a cherished and vibrant part of our community’s annual calendar. During the holy month of Ramadan, our members come together for weekly iftar (breaking of fast) gatherings, fostering a sense of unity and spirituality. We hold Taraweeh prayers and engage in Quranic recitation, reflection, and community service, embodying the essence of this sacred month.
Eid festivities at NCCA are a joyous culmination of Ramadan. Families and friends gather for special prayers at the mosque, followed by a communal feast and exchange of gifts. The atmosphere is one of festivity and gratitude as we come together to celebrate the blessings and lessons of Ramadan. These occasions serve as a reminder of our shared faith and the importance of community, strengthening the bonds that unite us as members of the NCCA family.
